Q. I’m new to graphic design and want to learn. What do I need?

I want to start designing wraps, and motorsports related materials. But I’m not sure where to start

There are a couple of things that are important to know before you get started. resources are not stand alone programs. Our resources are design files that are compatible with 3rd party graphic design software. The 3rd party graphic design software of your choice will be required to open and edit our design resources. Our resources are created with the presupposition that they will be used by experienced graphic designers who understand how to open, modify and design with the files. However we do welcome newcomers. If you are just starting out in the design world, below are some tips.

1. You need a graphic design software. There are many to chose from. It is really important that the graphic design software you chose is a vector graphic editing software such as:

  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Corel Draw
  • Flexi Sign
  • Inkscape (Free)
  • Sign Lab

Photoshop and Gimp are programs that we do not recommend unless you are painting cars for video games (Sim Racing).

2. You will need to take the time to learn the graphic design software that you chose. This is not a quick process. Each graphic design software has many tools and a learning curve. Here at most of our team uses Adobe Illustrator and some use Corel Draw. We have created a course that will cover the most important tools and how to use them in Adobe Illustrator. It is 7hrs long, and it is well worth it. You can check it out at the following link.

3. Do not purchase any graphics from us until you have tried our free graphics. Our free graphics are the best way to get familiar with our resources before making a purchase. You can get our free resources at the following link.
