Why are these patterns called screens?
I don’t understand why these patterns are called screens. Can you fill me in?

Vector pattern screens are called “screens” because we think of them like a door screen. Each of them contain solid elements, but the pattern as a whole can be seen through revealing graphic elements that are behind it.
