Design Tip #1 Black Number on Mid tone background

When a client insists on a black number over a mid-tone, high-activity background, visibility becomes your hill to die on. Sure, you could just flip the fill to white — but that alone won’t cut it on a design with this much congestion. The real key is a massive, unapologetic outline. Think of it like carving out a dedicated parking spot for the number: a clean, unmistakable base color area where the eye can land instantly. If the design is busy, going thick with the outline helps— clearing space so the number can breathe and stand out.

Design Tip #2 Arranging graphics to interact with sponsors and numbers.

Nothing in this layout is dropped in at random. Yes, some elements follow the natural flow, but several pieces are deliberately positioned to guide the viewer’s eye. Notice how the bullets orbit and point toward the number, and how the rifles angle toward the rear — almost leaning back with the motion of the car while also directing attention to the sponsor panel. These are small visual cues, but they create hierarchy, movement, and continuity. It’s subtle psychology: the graphics aren’t just decoration — they’re storytellers pushing attention exactly where you want it.
